How to Download e-Aadhaar Online in 2025

What is e-Aadhaar?
e-Aadhaar is a password-protected electronic copy of your Aadhaar card, digitally signed by UIDAI. It is accepted as a valid identity and address proof everywhere.
How to Download e-Aadhaar (With Registered Mobile Number)
- Visit myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in
- Click on "Download Aadhaar"
- Enter your Aadhaar number (12 digits) or Enrollment ID
- Enter the captcha code
- Click "Send OTP" – OTP will be sent to your registered mobile
- Enter OTP and click "Verify & Download"
- PDF will be downloaded – password is your PIN code (first 4 digits)
How to Download Without Registered Mobile Number
If your mobile is not registered with Aadhaar, you must visit the nearest Aadhaar Seva Kendra to update your mobile number first.
Masked Aadhaar Option
You can download "Masked Aadhaar" where the first 8 digits of your Aadhaar number are hidden for privacy protection.
Password for e-Aadhaar PDF
The PDF is password-protected. The password is your name's first 4 letters (uppercase) + birth year. Example: RAMU1990
